Last Hurrahs of Summer

Sydney loves her Dad!

We can hardly believe that school has started again and we're back to the daily grind. Sydney is unaffected by it all, choosing instead to get out of her bed almost every morning and climb into ours, eat like there's no tomorrow, run around the house like a banshee, and continue to work on her peeing and pooping where she's supposed to. We just got her a two-step stool which has inspired her to wash her hands, which creates a need to wash her hands, thus trying to go potty.

She is fiendishly building up her vocabulary and sentence structure, repeating almost everything we say. Just recently she began to say "Sydney" more clearly than ever, and she is trying to say "Pederson" too. She finally started saying "Gammy" for Grammy instead of calling her "Yaya" or "Dada".

We've kept busy the last few weeks, going to barbecues and parties and the annual Sausagefest. Sydney got lots of chances to practice taking turns, sharing, playing nicely and not grabbing. Here are some random photos of the last few weeks.

Here's Sydney and new friend Lily playing with cars. No boys needed.

Sydney was in good hands with Erin, Megan and Carly!

Here Sydney is playing cards with another Lily (almost two), and Denise.

Sydney made a new friend named Elsa and took turns riding and pushing.

Pepper the dog was very patient for a while...

A ladybug found Sydney.

Sydney loves rides!

Here she is in motion! See if you can hear her giggles and screams.
